I am Bramhaiah Chintakunta. My friends call me Brami for short. I am 18 years old and am in the first year of college. I am studying to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I first came to St. Xavier’s Home for the Aged four years ago to work in the garden. I had gone to school in my village, but had not passed my 10th grade standard exam. I took the exam two times but did not pass. I felt that this would be the end of my education. I wanted to continue with school but my family had no money to pay for my tuition. My father died of a heart attack when I was only four years old. My mother works in the fields, but only earns a small income. My sister could not help me because she is married and works in the fields. So it seemed that my dream was impossible.
While I was working at St. Xavier's Home I was living with other boys who were studying in the 11th and 12th grades in Porumamilla, with the support of FCN sponsors. I decided that I also wanted to continue my studies. But first I needed to pass the 10th grade standard exam. I told Sister Lucy that I wanted to take the exam while I continued working. I studied hard and passed the exam. This was a turning point in my life. But my dream only became reality because of the FCN sponsors who made my education possible.
When I completed 12th grade, I went on to college. And that is where I am today. I enjoy my studies and am working hard to get good grades. Again, my FCN sponsors made this possible. I am so grateful for a college education upon which to build the dreams of my life. There are so many like me who are grateful to FCN sponsors who give us the chance to reach our goals.
My Dear Sponsors Wayne and Rita McAuley and Allan and Edy John and Foundation for Children in Need-You are a blessing to me. I think of you each day and pray for you. I cannot thank you adequately for your generous help for my education.
FCN is sponsoring me since 2002. I have completed Engineering, majoring in Electrical and Electronics. I am able to stand on my feet. I have job now. My father works as a watchman in a college and my mother takes care of household works. My parents have very little education and they did not have any help given to them to continue their education. I fondly treasure the love and support given to me by my sponsors and FCN. By your kind help I was able to complete my education and have a bright future. May God bless you all.
Thank you and Thanks again to FCN. Parameswari Palle.
I am Vasundara Ramireddy. I completed my Bachelor of Nursing. I always wanted to study well and become a nurse and reach out to others. It’s a noble profession and I love it. But let me tell you I could have never got education if not for the love, kindness and generous financial support of my sponsors Elizabeth Hyder and John and Janis Laraccia through FCN. My parents could not afford to send me for the training.
I will remain grateful to my sponsors and to FCN. I will always treasure the help given to me. Thanks to my sponsors and Foundation for Children in Need. May God bless you.
My name is Bharath Moyela. I am a Christmas gift for my parents because I am born on December 25, 1994. I am very sad to say that I was born with meningomyelocele. I was operated in few days. Unfortunately the surgery was not successful and I am suffering with lot of neurological problems. For my bad luck I lost my father due to heart attack in April 2003. Though I have all these problems, God blessed me with cheerfulness.
Now I am in 12th grade and my sister is in 9th grade. My mother is an unskilled laborer who is looking for work each day. It was very sad to see my mom struggling to take care of my medical needs and then to send my sister and me to school. God heard our prayers and my days are bright now just because of someone in America who is helping me through sponsorship. I am and I will ever be grateful to Rev. William Zavaski from the Archdiocese of Chicago for his loving support for my education. By his generous donation I am able to go to school and get medical help. Please sponsor a child and give new life to some one like me, and the rich blessings are always yours.
